About Mother's Field
Ik-Sang, a member of righteous men who devotes himself to independence movement, is run after by Japanese police and arrested during wedding ceremony of his sister Eun-Sil and Yong-Cheol. 10 years later he is free and leaves for Shanghai with Yong-Cheol's family avoiding Japanese soldiers. After liberation Yong-Cheol comes back home with his three sons Hong-Ki, Jung-Ki, Myeong-Ki but they encounter Korean War. Yong-Cheol, a police officer, takes a flight while his three sons go to battlefield. Meanwhile Ik-Sang appears to them as a high commander of North Korean army and Eun-Sil doesn't know how to treat her brother. Yong-Cheol and Ik-Sang become a member of punitive force and a partisan each. During a fight Yong-Cheol dies. Though the war is over, Eun-Sil spends lonely later years while Ik-Sang suffers from guilty conscience.
