About Mr. Wang Goes to Shalim
Lee Sang-Do(nicknamed as Wangga), on his way of carrying the silk for Mi-Rang's marriage, the daughter of Yonggang-chon lord in China, loses Mi-Rang and the silk to the bandit Madongpa. In the course of wandering restlessly, he happens to arrive at Shaolin temple. Wangga comes to work in kitchen but he decides to learn martial arts and take back Mi-Rang and the silk. But he cannot find chance to learn martial arts, and instead, is only treated harshly by a head cook monk named Pungah Keosa. Meanwhile, Wangga's lover Yun-Hee sets out to look for Wangga but falls into crisis. At that moment, Ho Yeob-Keom sent by the lord rescues her and they starts for the den of Madongpa. Wangga finds out that Pungah Keosa is the most excellent master of martial arts and learns from him regularly. He sweeps the bandit with extraordinary strategy and surprisingly excellent martial skill and returns to his hometown with Mi-Rang and Yun-Hee.
