About Rock Ridge, The
Shin Dong-Su family in Yongdae village who have lived accepting poverty as their destiny decide to leave the village not be able to stand up hunger which is caused by poor harvest. They settle in a mining village but very soon are dispersed because of Korean War. After one year, only half of them could gather to the rock ridge though they have promised to meet again after earned as much money as possible. It's because Shin Dong-Su lost three children during the war. Meanwhile, his eldest son Hyeon-Shin and Yu-Shin come to settle in a coal-mining village. There, they hear the news on their father Shin Dong-Su that at present he is in Masan hospital and lost one leg instead of land patent. 10 years later, Hyeon-Shin comes back to his hometown and devotes himself on Saemaeul Movement.
