About Hwaraengi
An aristocrat Hong's wife Yoon So-Sa stays at the house of a mountain village shaman Cho-Seon for she couldn't get pregnant. The village is the place where the shamans live together and she comes to have sexual relations with Sedu shaman. Meanwhile, Ho accepts a second wife but as the second wife too shows no sign of pregnancy, her husband Tae-Ho goes to the shaman village and sleeps with Yoon So-Sa one night. Later, Yoon So-Sa gets pregnant and returns to Hong's house again, but Tae-Ho calls Se-Du shaman to hold exorcism ritual realizing that the baby is not his child. When the ritual gets on its climax, Se-Du kills Tae-Ho and all the truth are disclosed. The old lady of the house orders Yoon So-Sa to kill herself, but thanks to a housemaid Bun-Yi's persuasion, Yoon So-Sa leaves the house with her baby.
