About Fork of a River, The
At the early of 19th Century, Myo-Ryeon lives being abused by her husband with inferiority complex in Mal-Bat town. When her mother-in-law and husband passed away, she gets close to a junior officer Oh for her home and daughter Hang-Ah. Keun-Shik comes to her house to spend one night and rescues Hang-Ah who's about to be raped by a Japanese policeman Dakada. He escapes to the mountain and, with the help of Hang-Ah, finds a bonanza and sets out to look for the enemy who murdered his father. Hang-Ah anguishes for a while realizing his enemy is Oh, but Keun-Shik kills Oh. Myo-Ryeon lets Hang-Ah to leave for an outlying region.
