
About Lee Chang-Dong
Lee Chang-Dong was born in Daegu, 1954 and graduated from Kyungbuk University with degree in Korea Literature. He taught for seven years and became and award-winning novelist before signing on as a screenwriter for Park Kwang-Su¡®s To the Starry Island. He co-wrote the awad-winning screenplay for A Single Spark before directing Green Fish(1995), the inaugural project of his East Film company. Green Fish screened at the 3rd PIFF and won the Alkan Dragons & Tigers Award at the 16th Vancouver Film Festival.
