About Kaige Chen
Born in Beijing in 1952, he graduated from Beijing Film Academy Since his highly acclaimed debut film [Yellow Earth](1984), Chen had made [The Big Parade](1985), [King of the Children](1987), and [Life on a String](1990), [Farewell My Concubine](1993), shared the Palme D’Or Award at Cannes Film Festival in 1994 with Jane Campion’s [The Piano].
