Introduction
In the summer of 2004 all Koreans, no matter the age or gender, were glued to their television sets every weekend waiting to see what would happen next on "Lovers in Paris." This TV miniseries/drama successfully portrayed a modern Cinderella story, with Park Shin-yang and Kim Jeong-eun as the lead characters.

As the chairman of GD Motors, Han Gi-ju (played by Park Shin-yang) is a divorced man working in Paris. He takes Gang Tae-yeong (played by Kim Jeong-eun), who is working as a housekeeper at his home, as his date to a business party. She is a poor international student who is chasing her fatherí»s dream of studying in Paris. Han Gi-juí»s nephew, Yun Su-hyeok (played by Lee Dong-gun) meets Tae-yeong by chance, and falls for her.

Tae-yeong ends up returning to Seoul, soon after, Gi-ju and Su-hyeok also return to Seoul separately. Tae-yeong asks Gi-ju for a job and in time, the two fall in love. Gi-juí»s father tries to force his son to marry Mun Yun-a (daughter of an influential politician), and she exhausts every means to make this happen. As the family secret involving Gi-juí»s and Su-hyeok is disclosed, the relationship between Tae-yeong and Gi-ju is in crisis....

Storyline
The amazing over 50% viewing rate of the touching SBS TV drama "Lovers in Paris" revolves around the Cinderella-like story of Tae-young (Kim Jung-eun) who decides to build up a new life in Paris after the tragic death of her beloved father. Gradually running out of money to pay her rent, the charming girl's bad luck turns into blessed love after the hands of fate make her stumble into suave multi-millionaire Ki-ju (Park Shin Yang)....

The story of í░Lovers in Parisí▒ is typical a romantic comedy, with a í░Cinderella-likeí▒ fairy tale. But what gave this korean drama so much commercial success, besides the fairy-tale like story, is the outstanding job that SBS has done in casting and the wonderful packaging of the entire serial.

Tae-Young (Kim Jung-Eun) who used to help her father manage a small, run-down theater in the outskirts of Seoul, decides to leave for Paris to study after her father passes away. Although Tae-Young makes it to Paris, she finds that she cannot afford to even pay her rent unless she works part-time. One day, she gets a job as a cleaning lady at a beautiful mansion-style apartmentíŽ Ki-Joo (Park Shin-Yang) was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. As the son of a multi-millionaire, Ki-Joo is a bright and sophisticated gentleman with a good sense of humor. Ki-Joo has only one fear in life: love. In the past, he went through a loveless marriage arranged by his parents that ultimately led to a divorce. Despite these factors, Ki-Joo soon finds himself helplessly falling for the unsophisticated, yet genuine charm of Tae-young.
