In the days of the 23rd King SunCho in the Yi Dynasty, a faction kills Jeon Kye-Kun on charge of rebellion. Therefore, his sons Won-Beom and Won-Kyeong have to live in seclusion disguising themselves as plebeians. Meanwhile the King SunCho demises and Won-Beom, the first grandchild in the royal family, succeed to the throne. He leaves for the palace expressing his sorrow at parting to the people in town who take care of him heartily.
