About Even the Way is Far Away
The promising young composer receives a proposal of marriage from a beautiful soprano singer, but he has already a fiancee in the country. His married life suffers from poverty. To make matters worse, his wife becomes ill after giving birth to a baby. He can't help stealing money of the soprano singer. He goes to prison and his wife is dead. The soprano singer comes back after finishing a provincial tour and finds out this fact. She takes care of her child and waits for him to be released from prison.
