About Suspended Sentence
In 1950, a Korean resident in Japan Sun-Wu is hired in department of advertising of a local newspaper in Kobe due to his abilities. He works hard but he is fired as soon as his back ground that he is Korean is disclosed. Also his girl friend Hideko leaves him. He is extremely suffering from economical hardship. He is arrested when he tries to rob a bank to get Hideko back. However the court examines closely the reasons and motives of his crime and concludes that inhuman prejudice of Japanese society caused this kind of crime and then releases him. Sun-Wu determines a new start with Hideko.
