About Resentment of a Woman Named Wol-Nyeo
Both Keum Ah-Rang and Wol-Nyeo are engaged. Yu-Hwa, a daughter of Seok-Tal, who is powerful and vicious in the town, loves Keum Ah-Rang by one side. For the sake of his daughter Yu-Hwa, Seok-Tal gives Wol-Nyeo's father gold ingot to let him leave the town together with Wol-Nyeo. Keum Ah-Rang misunderstands that Wol-Nyeo betrays him, so that he gets married to Yu-Hwa. Seok-Tal attempts to let Daldari kill Wol-Nyeo and her father. Daldari kills Wol-Nyeo's father and attempts to rape Wol-Nyeo. Wol-Nyeo throws her body into a reservoir named Baek Myeo Mot (White cat reservoir) to avoid losing her valuable chastity. A ghost of white cat, which is said in legend, borrows Wol-Nyeo's body and makes appearance in the town. The people in the town are bothered by the ghost. Keum Ah-Rang becomes aware of the fact that the ghost has borrowed dead Wol-Nyeo's body.
