About Applause
A Korean resident in America, college student Na-Young stays at her uncle's house and but is forced to learn Korean traditional dancing, singing, and sewing from her aunt. Being unable to bear it any more, she leaves the house and goes to a music saloon. Over there, she comes to be acquainted with a university student Hyeong-Rok and his vocal team, and from them, she learns friendship and love. As the saloon is to be closed, for the sake of reobening of it, Hyeong-Rok and the vocal team decide to participate in a university song contest. In spite of old instruments and hungry, they succeed in win the prize in the contest with the help of Na-Young. Na-Young learns the preciousness of motherland from Hyeong-Rok and his vocal team. She asks her uncle to open a gorgeous music saloon. Leaving love and friendship behind, Na-Young starts for America.
