About Night Bird
A widow Sang-Lim runs the farm with her young son Dong-Su. One day, a shabby young man named Min-Wu comes to stay at her shed and helps the work of Sang-Lim's farm. Jeong-KYoo proposes Sang-Lim, but when she turns down it, tries to rape her. Min-Ku rescues her and it makes them get close, but Jeong-Ku threatens him to fight a duel. When the police notice him, Min-Ku confesses his past to Sang-Lim. In past, Min-Ku witness wife's adultery when he returned from the Middle east and committed murder. Leaving one night to their parting, Min-Ku and Sang-Lim make love. When an accident occurs at the mine, Min-Ku saves the miners and the love with Sang-Lim deepens. They plan to make a home but at the right moment when Min-Ku is about to be arrested by the police, he is shot to death by wrong bullet shot by Dong-Su.
