While rock climbing Mt. Sorak, a member commits mistake to let ropes be twisted so that all of the members face danger. The leader makes one member lose his life and instead rescues remaining members. Then, he feels much guilty. Professor Kang, who was a war correspondent report at 1950-1953 Korean War, shows second lieutenant Kim's war correspondent's pocket notebook to the leader. Kim leaves his lover and participate in the war to be killed. The leader is much impressed by Kim's honorable patriotism and sacrificial spirit, and regrets wrong value thought of the youth these days, and makes up his mind to devote himself to protect the country.
