About In a Fistful of Time
In 1930s, Professor No, an anthropologist of a famous German university, comes to his hometown in a solitude seashore of Chung Nam with old and sick body. Once flourished his house is now almost a ruin. For professor No, his mother and father who come closer to him as nostalgia, his girl friend Young-Ae and his former self are the only hope that reduce his humble present. The beautiful woman exorcist gives him hopelessness while lepers who sway around the villa like shabby stuffs appear as reflection of dying himself. This film elaborately depicts fragility of life and vague nostalgia contrast to past and present, like and death, and beauty and ugliness.
