About Myong-Ja Akiko Sonia
A 13-year-old boy Dong-Jin loves Myeong-Ja who is 6 years older than he, but as he finds she is deeply involved with Yoo Min-Ho, a student of Tokyo, Dong-Jin goes to Tokyo to study. 10 years later in 1943 Dong-Jin takes an active part in the first front of resistance against Japan as a terrorist of Japanese Communist Party. When he stays in Sakhalin with a plan to assassinate Karafudo, a minister, he came to meet Myeong-Ja who became a cafe madame. Myeong-Ja came to Sakhalin looking for her fiance Yoo Min-Ho. He was addicted to opium and ran away selling her to a Japanese brothel owner. Thus she came here. As assassination plan of the minister stops, he sneaks into near coal mine where he leads a strike and runs away with Myeong-Ja's help. 5 years later they meet again in Japan, and with sorrow of nostalgia.....
