About Ascent of Seong Hwang Dang
The hero finds a bonanza and becomes a millionaire. The clerk in a jewelry shop, who is greedy for his fortune, introduces him Ae-Ra, a dancer. The clerk cheats him while he is infatuated with the dancer. He cannot help coming back his hometown, because he has nowhere to go. When he arrives at the ascent of Seong Hwang Dang in his hometown, he regrets for his dissolute life and hangs himself on a tree.
