About Widow, A
Mrs. Han, a woman of fidelity who became old as a virgin because her husband died even before she could hold wedding ceremony, lives with Jeom-Sun, her sister-in-law who became a widow three years after getting married, and Kim Cho-Si, her adopted son. This peace is broken when Du-Chil, a vagabond and strong farmhand. Jeom-Sun feels guilty concerning her secret meeting with Du-Chil. She loves Du-Chil very much and gives birth to his baby. Du-Chil is forced to leave the house together with his baby by Kim Cho-Si's instruction. Du-Chil brings up his baby (son) up to a college student, and then dies. The son visits Jeom-Sun, his mother, but leaves her soon.
