About Osing
Shin is sold to a house as a servant with 50 won received from her grandmother, but they abuse her believing that she stole 50 won. She escapes to the mountain and falls down. A student soldier Jin-Ho who has run away from the army rescues her teaches her of letter and love. After spending the winter in the mountain, Jin-Ho and Shin are captured by a solider on their way to the town and Jin-Ho is killed. Shin comes to home with Jin-Ho's harmonica. When her father beats her and tries to sell her again, she leaves the home searching for mother. She meets mother who has become a prostitute, but understanding her, she decides to work as a living-in servant. At the news that her grandmother is critically ill, Shin returns to home and swears to overcome poverty.
