About Pomegranate
Hyeon-Ho studies for state examination delivering the newspapers and Kang-Il works in a cabaret as a part-time job in order to earn registration fee. There, Kang-Il meets Nam-Hee and comes to form three-cornered romance. In the end, Kang-Il helps Hyeon-Ho and Nam-Hee to get close and they come to live together. One day, Hong-Shik is about to rape Nam-Hee, Kang-Il and Nam-Ho beat him off. Kang-Il gives himself to the police for Hyeon-Ho and Nam-Hee, but Hyeon-Ho, feeling guilty conscience, goes to the police and gets imprisoned. He dies of heart disease in the prison and Kang-Il swears Nam-Hee to set out anew, but she leaves him without words.
