About Pebbles
Kim Seon-Jun, a landlord in a solitary island, drives fishermen hard with one-sided terms and conditions. Being attracted Young-Dal's by his strong faith, Suk-I, a barmaid, helps Young-Dal, who is released from the jail. He was imprisoned because of his opposition to the oppression by Kim Sun-Ju. Yeol-Dal intends to get rid of the risk of pelagic fishery by building a clam farm, but he encounters with difficulties because of Kim Seon-Ju's obstructive tactics and islanders' uncivilized thoughts. Suk-I helps Yeol-Dal and soon, other people understand and join him little by little. Suk-I tries to keep the farm from the storm, but dies at last. It is revealed that the person who tried to destroy the farm is Kim Seon-Ju. The village people make Suk-I's grave with pebbles she liked.
