About Troupe of Strolling Actors, A
Deok is a lonely orphan who was found by Park Chi-Sam, a leader of a troupe of strolling actors. While she performs in disguise of a man with the troupe, she came to be closed with Man-Jin, an actor who is about her age. When grown-up Deok held a performance in a market place in rural area, she happened to meet Man-Jin again and married him. Despite of his devoted love, she went back to the troupe. Actors of the troupe recommended Deok as their leader in succession to late Park Chi-Sam. Meanwhile Man-Jin looked for Deok and finally found her. But he realized he could not take her back. After she led her life with the troupe to show the joys and sorrows in life for common people, Deok encountered her last moment in a desolate field on a cold day feeling beautiful melody.
