About Woman Prisoner No. 407
Seo Kang-Hee, whose prisoner number is 407, recalls her past. She loves Ha-Ryun in spite of her parents' objection. Ha-Ryun, a Japanese detective, deceives Kang-Hee and sets up a plan to sweep the Korean independence army using her. Then, Kang-Hee is imprisoned, while Ha-Ryun gets promotion and arranges a marriage with a daughter of a Japanese soldier. On a stormy day, Kang-Hee escapes from the prison with other prisoners and shows up at the Ha-Ryun's wedding ceremony. Nam-Joo and Kang-Hee shoot him to death. Embracing a guard in her arms, Nam-Joo falls out of the banisters and dies for Kang-Hee.
