About From Seom River to the Sky
Jae-In, a student activist, becomes a reporter of the school newspaper after finishing military service. While he covers in the scenes such as markets, slums and street demonstration, Jae-In came to be in love with Young-Ae who collects the articles together. Young-Ae from a rich family shields him with understanding and love. These two, now a student couple, firmly endure their poor life that they have to eat Su Je Bi more than Rice. Then their son Ho is born and Jae-In becomes a high school teacher after graduation while Young-Ae is assigned at a local school in Kang Won Do. They become so called weekend couple who come and go between Seoul and Hong Cheon. One day a heavy rain warning is announced. A bus that takes in Young-Ae and Ho hits Seom River Bridge and falls down to the river while it is running at full speed. Losing his wife and son, Jae-In ends up committing suicide.
