About Woman on Asphalt Road, A
Nam-Sun is deprived of her virginal purity by Cheon, a drug merchant, who says that she can become a singer. What is worse, she is arrested by country people who have been cheated by Cheon. She barely escapes and meets doctor Shin, who is on the way to Kangneung, to have same bed with him one night. By taking the opportunity, she becomes pregnant and insists in giving birth to his baby in spite of his objection and then disappears. Some days later, she stays at Shin's home as a housemaid and lives at the same house with him while his wife stays in USA temporarily. When they go to bed, Cheon, a drug merchant, shows himself in front of them to beat her relentlessly and let her miscarry. Being shocked, she becomes insane to walk on the asphalt road endlessly.
