The criminal is collecting body parts upon antiseptic treatment. What on earth does he murder and collect body parts for? A few days later, the third murder happens and its victim's body is found. Fortunately, this victim with hemophiliac is identified. After Cho questions the victim's girl friend, Su-yeon Chae, he finds out three consecutive victims are surprisingly all her lovers in the past or present- A very crucial clue which casts a new light on the cases. The cases are renamed 'the consecutive murder incidents connected with Chae' and the investigation becomes accordingly animated. Cho, however, makes a fresh question.... Su-yeon Chae is a talented woman who works for the remains restoration dept. in museum after finishing her study in France. Related persons subjected to investigation are her father, a painter, her late college classmate and current colleague Ki-yeon and her friend, Sung-min. The key suspect is Ki-yeon who has loved her and once studied anatomy. Furthermore, Cho finds out he has recently bought Hexamedin. Cho questions him, but someone else attacks Su-yeon while questioning. Then released Ki-yeon disappears. Next early morning Cho is notified the fourth murder. Its victim was Ki-yeon who was found dismemberedly murdered in highway. Now the criminal collects arms, legs, trunk and heart. He only needs one more part, the head. Su-yeon is horrified with these whole incidents surrounding her. As Cho continues to meet her, he begins to feel sympathy for her. At that very time, the criminal informs him that he would be the fifth victim. One single hope they can depend on is her memory about those victims in her mind. Now the horrible dialogue begins to open the door of her memory....
In the summer of 1999, a series of black garbage bags filled with dismembered body parts (one part missing from each bag) begin to show up around Seoul: in an elevator, on a highway, at the edge of a basketball court. Detective Cho, assigned to the case, struggles to identitify the victims. When at last the killer starts to drop hints, Cho makes a startling discovery: all the victims are ex-lovers of a woman named Su-yeon, a curator at the National Museum. In the course of his inquiry, Cho befriends Su-yeon, and begins to learn about her troubled past.
