About When Camellia Blooms and Fades Away
In the final period of Japanese occupation, Suk-Kyung, a traditional Korean bar girl called kisaeng, helps Ji-Hun escape arrest by Japanese police. and they fall in love. Suk-Kyung bears a Jin-Hun's child but has to give up custody right for her child because Ji-Hun's parents doesn't want to accept her as their daughter-in-law. Ji-Hun is killed during Korean War, and his son Young-Cheol gets to know that he is of illegitimate birth, and leaves home. Young-Cheol's grandfather is shocked to death by this, and Young-Cheol is on the brink of dying in a car accident. His mother, Suk-Kyung, transfuses her blood into Young-Cheol to survive him. Released from hospital, Young-Cheol visit his father's grave and decides to live against all odds.
