About Evergreen Tree
The hero and heroine who graduate from the college come down to hometown to enlighten the rural community. The hero sets up a village hall and leads the youth there, and the heroine establishes a school to teach the people. But he is arrested by the Japanese police which bring pressure upon Korean, and she lies in her sickbed because of overwork. On the day when he is released, she dies failing in blooming of her passion for the country.
