Woman with a Suitcase starring Choi Ji-woo, Joo Jin-mo, Jeon Hye-bin and Lee Joon. The series tells the story of how Cha Geum-joo (Choi Ji-woo) went from a disgraced manager at a law firm to a great attorney.
Cha Geum Joo (Choi Ji Woo) a famous paralegal who manages the law office of her stepsister, Park Hye Joo (Jeon Hye Bin). After failing the bar exam five times, Geum Joo has built her career as the best paralegal in the business, helping Hye Joo win every case. But Geum Joo’s high-flying career comes to a crashing end when she is charged with violating the Attorneys-at-Law Act and sent to prison for a year. After her release, no law firm will hire Geum Joo and she struggles to find work. But Ham Bok Geo (Joo Jin Mo), a former prosecutor and now the owner of the K-Fact media company, recognizes Geum Joo’s talent and establishes the Golden Tree law firm for her. Because Geum Joo doesn’t have a law degree, she brings in bulldog attorney Goo Ji Hyun (Jin Kyung) and rookie lawyer Ma Seok Woo (Lee Joon) to work with her, along with office manager Chief Hwang (Kim Byung Choon) and investigator Oh An Na (Bae Noo Ri). Hye Joo goes to Boston to get an advanced law degree and returns to Korea to join the rival Ohsung Law Firm, ending up at the opposite side of the table from Geum Joo in many cases……
