About Sunhee Jinhee TV Series
On Air: 20.8.2001 ~ 1.11.2001
Following her 2001 debut drama Delicious Proposal, Son Ye Jin (Spotlight, Alone In Love) starred in Sunny Jeany as Sunny, a happy-go-lucky heroine who comes from a well-to-do background and has plenty of love to spare. Representing the opposite end of the spectrum is her nemesis Jin Hee (portrayed by Kim Kyu Ri of Popcorn), who comes from a poor background and would not hesitate to sell her soul to the devil if it meant fulfilling her desires. Tackling a rare topic that looks at the many challenges of environmental ethics, Sunny Jeany is a cleverly written tale of love, jealousy, and greed with the classic underlying premise of good versus evil.
Sunny (Son Ye Jin) and Jeany (Kim Kyu Ri) were born in the same hospital at exactly the same time, but their worlds couldn't be further apart. Unlike Sunny who comes from a loving, well-heeled family, Jeany bears deep pain stemming from her poverty-stricken childhood and suffers from inferiority complex. The two cross path when Sunny's good samaritan father offers Jeany's father a job as his assistant plant manager and their daughters soon forge a special friendship. But things dramatically turn sour when Sunny's father gets killed by Jeany's father who then moves up the ranks in the company. In a sudden reversal of fortune, Sunny (who is now homeless) and Jeany are forced to fight their inevitable fate. Adding fuel to their spiteful rivalry is the company's dashing successor Jun Sup, played by Park Yong Woo (Once Upon A Time In Corea).
