About Berlin Report
Seong-Min, a correspondent in Paris, is interested in Marie-Helene, a Korean-French woman, when he reads an article about her miserable life. Her Korean name is Young-Hee and she is under investigation on murder of her adoptive father. At the moment the investigation is broken off because of her aphasia from the shock of the scene. She has a brother who killed her adoptive father. He is angry with the killed man because he brought up Young-Hee in closed way and treated her as a sexual object and committed a crime. Seong-Min, who falls in love to Young-Hee, goes to her brother to remove her misery but he, a socialist, exiled himself already to East Germany before reunification. Seong-Min and Young-Hee are bound for Berlin where he makes a chance for her to meet her brother. However the brother and sister part from each other due to the police's pursuit.
